The IKEA LACK Coffee Table is a classic. It's affordable, stylish, and includes a handy shelf for magazines. However, its lightweight design can be tricky to assemble if you don't align the legs correctly.

🛑 MUST-HAVE for LACK Tables
This table is famous for two things: its low price and its super sharp corners. If you have kids or pets, you need protection. Also, the screws require some force to twist in.
Keep your shins and your kids safe. These are almost invisible.

1 The Double-Ended Screw
This is unique to the LACK series. You will find a screw that has threads on both sides. Screw one side into the leg first until it's tight, then screw the leg into the table top. Keep it straight!
2 Mounting the Shelf
Unlike the small side table, this Coffee Table has a bottom shelf. Do not tighten the legs fully until you have positioned the shelf. Use the small L-brackets provided to secure the shelf to the legs.
3 Final Tightening
Once the shelf is in place, give the legs a final twist to ensure everything is stable.
The LACK surface is made of painted paper/fiberboard. It hates water! Always use coasters for your drinks, or the surface will bubble and swell within weeks.
